In a sea of convoluted consultancies, Equator is changing the travel world for good.
Sustainable tourism is crucial for protecting the places we visit. But for tourism operators, sustainability can seem more like a sacrifice. Between the costly reports, carbon calculations and climate certifications, being sustainable can seem more like a sacrifice — something that compromises experience, or comes at a cost. 


Sustainability consultant, Equator, is charting a new course, with a platform that translates complex data into actionable insights that help businesses enhance their travel experiences. As a growing tech start-up, Equator wanted to create a brand experience that would challenge the cliches of the consulting industry, shifting the way they share data from complex diagrams and statistics to inspiring stories of sustainability.
Because sustainable travel doesn’t have to be restrictive. But in order to prove it, the brand needed to shift perceptions of sustainability from restriction to possibility and position Equator as the ultimate sustainable travel guide. One that gives businesses the confidence to make more sustainable decisions, that can make a world of good.

[BRAND IDEA]

A WORLD OF GOOD

The new brand identity embraced this shift from restrictive travel to an expansive world of good. Its gridded system is made up of infinite data points, with navigational tags and expressive icons signposting the way forward. The new logo – inspired by the name – follows the equator line and the Earth’s axial tilt, creating a globe with a distinctive ‘e’ shape. Bright highlight colours and spotlighted stories bring personality to the world of consulting, combined with a brand voice that serves as your helpful translator and friendly guide.
